What you will do
As Head of Sourcing Unit, you are responsible for the annual negotiation strategy with national brand and private label suppliers, both locally and within Ahold Delhaize's international purchasing alliances.
Working with internal stakeholders and international partners, you define and implement the negotiation strategy. You negotiate commercial agreements, purchase and sale conditions, prices, and other strategic agreements with suppliers within your remit.
Your responsibilities
- Define, together with internal stakeholders, the best supplier strategy in line with company objectives
- - Take final responsibility for negotiations for the categories under your charge
- - Contribute to setting annual objectives and, with your team, ensure they are met
- - Coordinate the implementation of agreements reached with teams such as Category Management, Marketing, E-commerce and Retail
- - Track the financial impact of negotiations on revenue, margin, costs and cash flow
- - Communicate negotiation progress to the relevant Sourcing teams
- - Lead a team of 2-3 people, supporting their development, coaching and success
Who you are
You combine strong commercial and strategic vision with excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
You bring
- Proven experience in European or international negotiations with major brand suppliers
- - Experience in Category Management and/or Sourcing
- - Excellent knowledge of the Belgian and European retail market
- - Experience in a management role
- - Good knowledge of competition law
- - Excellent command of Excel
- - Good command of Dutch, French and English
